UFC: Anthony Smith Dismisses Johnny Walker’s Call Out

Coming off a crazy first round stoppage victory over Ryan Spann at UFC Vegas 11, 205-pound prospect Johnny Walker snapped his two-fight losing streak, and once again found himself calling for a bout against Anthony Smith.

Smith, the former title challenger, dismissed Walker’s call however. Speaking to SiriusXM (as transcribed by BJPenn.com), ‘Lionheart’ stated that he doesn’t believe the Brazilian is in his league.

“I’ll Beat The S*** Out Of You”

“Hey for whatever reason, that guy wants to fight me,” Smith said. “That’s like the third or fourth time he’s called me out. Like, shut up dude. I’ll beat the s*** out of you. Maybe I’ve lost two in a row, but they’re two of the baddest motherf***ers on the planet. It’s different, there are levels to this s***.”

Not Ruling It Out

Coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his UFC career, Smith said he was open to fighting Walker, who is ranked just two spots below him in the UFC light heavyweight rankings, but stated that he won’t be chasing him.

“I would fight Johnny Walker if that’s what the UFC called for, but I’m not going to go out there calling out Johnny Walker, that’s for goddamn sure,” Smith stated. “But he’s exciting, he’s powerful, he’s an athlete, he’s got the perfect frame for the weight class. And he is exciting. He’s a little bit strange. I would be surprised if they called with Johnny Walker. I would take it, it’s just not what I’m chasing.”

How do you think a showdown between Anthony Smith and Johnny Walker would go?
