ONE Championship Signs Petchtanong And Magnus Andersson

In the past few weeks, ONE Championship has signed a number of new athletes, particularly for its heavyweight division. But prior to new heavyweight signings Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida and Amir Aliakbari, the Singapore-based organisation also acquired many of the world’s best strikers for their ONE Super Series. Big names including Superbon Banchamek and Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, who faced off at ONE: No Surrender last month.

In the last couple of days, ONE has signed more Muay Thai and kickboxing talent, with Petchtanong Banchamek and Magnus Andersson the latest big names to join the ONE Super Series.

Petchtanong is a six-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion with over 400 fights worth of experience. The 34-year-old has also faced several current ONE fighters, including Superbon and Jo Nattawut. He could likely face them a second time inside the ONE Circle.

Magnus Andersson is a Swedish Muay Thai fighter who trains out of Revolution Muay Thai Gym in Phuket, Thailand. The ‘Crazy Viking’ has won a Lion Fight world title and an MX Muay Xtreme title and is likely to compete at featherweight in the ONE Super Series, along with some of the best strikers in the world. Including Giorgio Petrosyan, Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy and Yodsanklai Fairtex.

After a triumphant return with ONE: No Surrender on July 31st, ONE Championship continues its action with ONE: No Surrender 3 this Friday night in Bangkok, Thailand.
