Jon Jones, Nate Diaz & Khabib Respond To Conor McGregor’s GOAT List
In the last few hours, Conor McGregor has taken to social media to declare his very own GOAT list, naming the four fighters he believes to be the greatest MMA fighters of all time. His list reads:
- Anderson Silva
- Conor McGregor
- Georges St-Pierre
- Jon Jones
McGregor added that he would ‘easily’ be the number one by the time he hangs his gloves up.
Obviously McGregor’s list provoked a lot of reaction online. One Twitter user asked where the current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, was in his list. Despite finishing Conor at UFC 229, the Irishman believes that the Dagestani has a way to go, before being discussed in the GOAT conversation.
One other notable absentee from his list is the man many believe to be the GOAT, Demetrious Johnson. While McGregor says he’s a big fan of DJ, he insisted that he shouldn’t be in his list, when challenged by one fan.
Responding to more fans, McGregor clarified his position, in relation to Jones and Anderson in his top four GOAT list.
Within an hour of McGregor posting his GOAT list, Jones’ manager Malki Kawa suggested that ‘The Notorious’ was just trolling.
While there were many fans questioning McGregor’s GOAT list, UFC commentator Jon Anik, merited it for its ‘salient points’.
It was only a matter of time before any of the other fighters on the list responded. The first being UFC light heavyweight champion, Jones. ‘Bones’, considered to be the GOAT by many fans, hit back at McGregor for never having defended his titles.
And wasn’t too concerned when one fan pointed out that Conor only has one N.
McGregor has lost twice inside the Octagon. Most recently to Khabib at UFC 229. But prior to that, he lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 196. And in the last hour, the younger Diaz brother has had his say on Conor’s GOAT list, declaring himself the true GOAT.
McGregor return from a 15 month lay off earlier this year, and stopped ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone after only 40 seconds of the very first round at UFC 246.
There’s sure to be more reactions to McGregor’s GOAT list in the next day or so and we will update this post with every significant response.

In the last couple of minutes, Jon Jones has taken another shot at the ‘GOAT’ McGregor, and Khabib Nurmagomedov has hit back at Conor.
