Conor McGregor Responds To Allegations And Mental Health Concerns
It’s been another eventful week in the life of Conor McGregor. It began with the Irishman taking to social media to announce that the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) had visited his yacht in the South of France to test him. Unfortunately however, this story would be quickly forgotten.
A couple of days later, the Agence France Press reported that McGregor had been arrested in Corsica, France, after a complaint was filed against him for alleged attempted sexual assault and exhibitionism. He was later released and his manager Audie Attar, vigorously denied the allegations.
Details were later released stating that a woman had accused the former UFC two division champion of exposing himself to her in a restaurant. Although he was released from custody without being charge, the case is ongoing.
The following day, McGregor replied to a couple of fans on Twitter, which he quickly deleted, that caused many fans to worry about the mental health of the 32 year old.
In the last few hours, McGregor has taken to his personal Facebook page to post a response to the allegations and concerns for his mental health.
“I will never kill myself no matter how many wish for it. Try set me up all yous f***king want over and over and over the truth will always set me free! Be it baby father claims, rape, indecent exposure, bulls*** WhatsApp group s***. You f***king name it. Never will I fold! The truth is the truth and it gives me wings. I know my character! God bless DNA! God bless CCTV! God bless Eye witness! God bless the truth! The truth is power! I am free! Never will a dime be paid to anyone coming at me with vicious lies! Not now not f***king ever! I will fight! And I am only beginning my fight! All these past incidents you will see! They will not be forgotten! I will not allow these people to just accuse me and then disappear into the dark to attempt to ruin someone else life! No f***ing way!”
Speaking to the media at the UFC Vegas 10 post fight press conference, UFC president Dana White commented on McGregor’s arrest.
“When Conor blew up, he showed up one time at the venue with so much security, I thought, ‘This is f***ing ridiculous,’” Dana stated. “Nobody needs this much security. This kid’s going to blow all his money on security. Then me and Lorenzo met up with him one night, and holy s***.
“You just don’t understand how big this kid is until you go out with him. He was literally getting mobbed. People were going crazy, screaming, jumping up from blackjack tables, leaving their money there and running after Conor. I’ve never seen anything like that.”
